Perquimans County provides the talented students of PQ with several programs in the performing arts. The PQ Band Boosters provide financial, logistical and moral support for the band and guard programs of our community.

Your child can begin enjoying the fun activities of band, as early as 6th grade. If your child is enrolled in Perquimans County Schools in 5th grade, the band teachers of PCMS & PCHS will be coming to Hertford Grammar School towards the end of the school year to talk with your student about the fun opportunities they could have in the band programs. Your student will be taught about the many wonderful instruments included in the bands programs, and given some info about what may work best for them.
